I find the discussion on adding various linguistic features to Unicon, or modifying/extending existing ones, interesting, and edifying.
However, in my opinion, an area where Unicon does not compare well with other very high level languages (e.g. Python) is in interfacing with other languages. Most notably, C. I consider this to be an aspect that can have significant impact on the general usefulness of Unicon, and its wider adoption, support, etc.
Another opinion, with respect to the recent discussion on adding threads, is to consider the (easier?) alternative of adding support for PVM to Unicon.
Does anyone else have thoughts on these issues?
