Well, I think it's safe to say that Microsoft has earned this negative energy through their predatory business practices and the sheer crappiness of so much of their software. However, the joy of free software (or open source) is that everyone can put their money where their mouth is. If someone wants to port Unicon to Platform X, may the gods smile upon them. I don't think Microsoft cares about us, and we shouldn't care about them -- only our users. For the record, I am known far and wide for my support of RMS and his ideals, and the negative energy I send towards MS.
