David,

Unicon is not compiled with any 16-bit popups, nor does it invoke
anything called BugSolver that I know of. Your error report is the
weirdest one I have seen in many years. Assuming your computer is not
infected in some way, there would seem to be a memory violation that is
not being detected or handled correctly, and it is deep enough into the
innards of Windows to be invoking crazy stuff. Problems in both icont
and iconx suggest corrupted files or infection, but I could be wrong.

Win XP Home, Pro, or something else?
Unicon executables obtained when?
Linking took forever like how long, 10 minutes?

I'll try to run your sample code; I am not super optimistic.

Clint
