Hello -

I have an Icon program that has been working well for many years but is
now producing
an "input/output error, offending value '[some spaces][a number]'". The
line where
the error is alleged to occur is a write to file of two strings made up
from members
of lists of strings. One of them is part of the member of a list,
determined by the
function "right(...)".

Getting into the code after all these years will be difficult, but if
anyone can help me
by explaining what input/output errors there can be I would be grateful.

Regards

_John Sampson_
