Runtime error 214, input output error, occurs in about a dozen places in
the runtime system. About half of them are errors that are reported by the
zip compression libraries. Others are generated when the standard I/O error
flag has been set, as reported by ferror().

I agree with Bruce that identifying which I/O function(s) or operator(s)
produce the errors might help us to investigate and give you a more
specific diagnosis.
