Hello all,

I have a 1973 36' SS. I am re-fitting the entire boat. It had the
mechanical steering system. I have removed all of the steeriing
components and I am going to install a hydraulic system. If any one
is interested in any / all of the parts I would be willing to sell
them. This is the rack and pinion system.

Here is what I have (that would be worth saving):

1. Upper and lower helms
2. Upper and lower steering cables, could use some lubricating but
otherwise in good shape.
3. Upper and lower arms that attach the cables to the starboard
rudder shaft.
4. Mechnisim that switches from upper to lower helm station.
5. Lever that is on the helm that controls the helm selector on the
rudders.

I will be reusing the drag link between the two rudders and the
mounting plate for the cables.

Any one have an idea as to which steering system I should invest in.
I am currently looking at the Teleflex Seastar system.

Thanks,

Victor
