Hey All,

We had pretty darn heavy rains here the last couple of days. I went down to
the boat to spend some time working on the new toilet for the forward head.
When I got in the boat we had water dripping out of the chart table that
pivots down from the wall in the salon. My assumption is that it is there
to cover the hole they must use to hoist the engines out of the boat through
the salon and out over the flybridge. Has anyone else dealt with a water
leak in that location? The carpeting on the fly bridge is glued down, not
snapped and there are some parts of the bench seating that is over the top
of that area. I threw on a rain coat and started peeling back the carpet to
see if I could find the leak. There is so much crappy carpet glue over
everything that I couldn't find any gaps. There obviously is one though.
By the time I left last night I had almost filled a kitchen pot with water
that was coming through. This is a new leak too. Ugh. I heard that you
could use oven cleaner to help soften old carpet glue to scrape it off.
Once I do that I might be able to lift the aluminum rails that are sealed
over the seams and real seal them. Any thoughts?

Kerry
