You can buy 2 bolt transom zinc. Drill the transom as you suggested, use the largest diameter bolt that the zinc will accommodate. Use brass or bronze hardware, nor S.S. Make sure you seal the inside of the bolt holes where they go thru the transom. Attach the main bonding wire to one of the bolt. Make a jumper wire, #8 tinned that goes from one bolt to another bolt inside the hull for extra protection. This will give you a solid zinc that should not bend. Capt. Perry

The small bracket on the transom was kinda beat up by a sander (not me) and I can't find one.
