You can buy 2 bolt transom zinc. Drill the transom as you suggested, use the
largest diameter bolt that the zinc will accommodate. Use brass or bronze
hardware, nor S.S. Make sure you seal the inside of the bolt holes where
they go thru the transom. Attach the main bonding wire to one of the bolt.
Make a jumper wire, #8 tinned that goes from one bolt to another bolt inside
the hull for extra protection.
This will give you a solid zinc that should not bend.

Thank You. I have sent an email to Sea Cure but I was hoping to find
the gaskets at more of a discount than Sea Cure but I will see if they
have what I need. There is a company called Fairchild that makes some
of the extrusions and other rubber seals as well.

While I am here I would like to see what most people do to mount the
transom zincs. The small bracket on the transom was kinda beat up by a
sander (not me) and I can't find one. I was thinking of finding some
bolts with a stud on the end then thru bolting them giving me the
studs for the zinc plate.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Ken
