Hello All, I have a leak in my freshwater tank. I own a 46MY and the tank is midship below the floor. It is custom make of fiberglass and has a marine ply cover screwed on the top. Removing the tank and repacing it is out of the question, it is make to countour the hull and i would need to remove walls and cabenitry to get at the tank. After checking things out I have found the lead in the lower half of the tank and need to patch it. I don't know exactly where it is, but that i can fix it if i reline the tank with either a barrier coat or reglass it. I need to cut another inspection plate so i can reline the tank well enough. With that said, What is the best material to use for this job? Is there a coating that will do this job well and SAFELY? Should i use chop matt fiberglass and resin? Any suggetions based on this groups experience would be very appreciated.
