I don't know what you are to assume, but I don't have the answer to your 
question;  Although, I remember reading a lot of that information on this 
forum.  Maybe those with the knowledge haven't gotten around to there email yet.

Is there a trick to know when redoing my stuffing boxes. 1 ¾
shaft with a clamp that has a nut and bold on each side. I do not have the big
nut style on my stuffing box. 

I know that my bilge pumps must be in good order with fully
charged batteries.  

Never done one before and though I better just ask around in
case there is some kind of technique that would be helpful.
