Thank you for answering my question. It can be turned on when the boat is on 110. There are two battery chargers for the engine and house batteries so I did not understand why there would be another charger through the inverter?

Often these units also act as a battery charger when it is hooked to shorepower. I would look in the engine are near the batteries for the inverter/charger.
