Interesting about the ac/dc interior lights. I have a 1971 36 SS and
my interior lights (4 in salon, 1 each in galley, head, and forward
cabin) are all DC - they have a large bulb (like a 1157 auto
taillight) and a much smaller 12 v bulb about the size of a flashlight
bulb. When steering at night from the lower helm, I can use the dim
interior light and not kill my night vision. I'm very sure they're
original. I'm considering replacing the larger bulbs with LED
clusters so I don't melt the lenses.
