Those of you who have bought parts from Cummins/Onan know that their prices are absurdly high. As an example, I needed a temperture cutout switch for the exhaust. Onan charges $65 [sic] for this part which I was able - with a lot of research - to find one at a heating supply company for $10. I also had the same shock as another contributer to this page had when I priced a coil from Onan. Their price? $700!! Fortunately, I was able to find a used one and the other person was told most coils are the same and to look for one off the shelf.
My recommendation is post a "wanted" on this site, and/or read the part numbers off the old part and look for a substitute on the internet. If you can come close to the part style and/or manufacturer go to a supply house and ask the counter guy for help. They usually will help if you tell them the story because everybody likes to screw The Man, --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "UnifliteWorld" group.
