Nick, I restored a 1960 17' runabout. The hull of your boat looks to be in about the same condition as mine was. I buffed it out with rubbing compound and then painted damaged areas with a one part expoxy. I got lucky because amazingly the epoxy color matched the gel coat exactly! If you need any tips about restoration, there are lots of us to help.
