I rebuilt my Onan, but have not used it for a long period of time
yet.  I tested it for 6 hours in my driveway.

There is a raw water cooled unit on eBay right now that has only seen
fresh water.  It is $1800.  If you have a heat x-changer and raw water
pump on yours, you could transfer it to this one.  I am not selling
this unit, I just saw it.  eBay item # 280431344539

I too looked into getting a new 6.5 kW (or similar) and found the
prices to be between $10k and $15k.  The marine gen sets are not
cheap.  It is cheaper to buy a bunch of batteries and a big power
inverter.
