Yes. I have Uniflite brochures that brag and show the foam filled stringers. They start with  2 X 4,6,8,10, etc. foam plank and fiber glass it on three sides, contour it to fit the hull and fiber glass it to the hull. On my 27 footer they set a wood 2 x 6 about 5 ft. long on top of the foam stringer from the bulkhead aft and fiber glassed it to every thing. The engine mount bolts go through the top fiber glass and into the wood.    Ray

Are you sure about the foam stringers? I was under the impression
that my stringers were solid wood glassed over, of course I can't
confirm this without cutting into them to find out.
