That's funny, I had considered doing the exact same thing when I first got my boat (extending the hard top). Now that you are saying it, I think I just never got around to it, because it still sounds like a good idea. The only thing I wouldn't like about it though, is that I wouldn't be able to stand up in the cockpit (I am 6'6" and the hardtop is only about 6'3"). If yours comes out nice there will be no stopping me though, it would also be really nice to have more flybridge space. Please keep us updated as I am really interested in how that would turn out.
