Dan if you insert them into your email they are not stored long term for the group. I would think that the preferable method would be to upload them to the groups homepage. If you follow this link...

Make sure you are logged in with the email account you are using with this group. Then just upload whatever you want and fire a note off to the group with a link. Does that make sense?
