The fuel pump on the 7-71 is just like the oil pump in most cars. a positive displacement set of gears meshing together to move the oil, and a spring loaded bypass if speed and constancy demand relief. On a fuel pump extra pressure / flow returns to the tank. I used to work with ball flow meters for calibrating power equipment. A glass tube with a metal ball which rises with the flow. Something like this. http://www.instrumart.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=10152 Again put " fluid flow meter " in www.dogpile.com. that will provide LOTS of info. http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/flow-meters-d_493.html Variable Area Flowmeter or Rotameter Have fun Den EAGLE WWW.densnet.net
