Tom, the Mega hull ( same as salty dog and express fisherman ) is what I was looking for when I ran acros the express years ago, its not as much me liking it " that much better " as simply not needing two boats, in some way I hate getting rid of the express because its such a great boat and has ran flawlessly since ive had it and I have put alot of work into it, but "toys" require upkeep... and looking at my present inventory of 8 boats, several trucks, quads, fith wheel travel trailers... and im the only person working on them and on top of it all getting ready for another long term sailing escape, it makes sence to downsize and simplify things a bit right now. I was debating keeping it thru the spring and one more trip down to baja but letting her go will generate some funds to upgrade the sailboat and buy more parts for the Mega... and bring another abandonned Uniflite back to life. hopefully I can find her a new home and owner who will finish her up... mechanically she is flawless and roaring to go but she needs a bit of paint to really make her shine... years ago I always had shiny things, these days its not as important, my girlfriend laughs, she always comments on how the boats are spotless mechanically and organized... to me its really all that matters, the ocean does not forgive... faded paint never sank a boat...!
