Hi all,
I've recently purchased a '77 Uniflite Mega (28') that is in good
shape but of course I want to improve a few things.
2 items I have been thinking about are the V-berth and the heating
situation.

V-berth: Has anyone on here re-done their v-berth? I'm sure white shag
carpeted walls were cool back in the day, but they have to go! I am
thinking of a vapour barrier, a thin layer of insulation with a very
thin wood laminate over top would look better on the angled walls but
open to ideas. I am unsure what to do in terms of a headliner, as the
carpet is on the ceiling too, so any suggestions here would be great.

Heat: I live in the Vancouver area, it's never too warm here. The only
built in heat is via the engine heat exchanger and so no good at
anchor. I'd like to use the boat 3 seasons so need to address this in
some way. I will be re-running propane lines anyways as the current
set up is not up to snuff and was thinking about installing a <a

id=278&page=1">Newport Propane heater</a> . Does anyone have one of
these or other ideas for heating a Mega?

Hopefully the group will have some ideas and be able to offer advice
to a new uniflite owner!
Thanks,
Aaron
