Aaron: I don't know if this will be any help, but I just installed two furnaces on my 42' aft cabin. I put a Wallas 1300 (kerosene) heater on the enclosed fly bridge, and a Wallas 40D (diesel) in the aft state room. The 1300 was very simple to install and seems to work very well. You can screw it to a bulkhead and run 12V to it and set a small kerosene tank in a cabinet or on a shelf under it. I have the flying bridge and aft deck enclosed and the little heater will keep the area warm when the outside temp is in the 30's. The aft deck cover has canvas sides so there is some warm air leakage there. The 40D was much more involved with ducting, power and fuel lines, but it keeps the inside nice and warm and isn't nearly as loud as the other brands. (My neighbors boat sounds like a jet engine idling when his furnace fires off.) Good luck with you project. Kent
