First Post* Typical: Guys gets old, sells sailboat, buys power boat. I am about to pass papers on a '75 36 Double Cabin. It needs love in many areas. For 2011, I am trying to think of things that I can improve without busting the bank.
One surprise to me is that may fittings like rails and stanchions don't appear to be through-bolted, but are just screwed into deck. Am I correct? Anybody have any lore on deck thickness and wisdom on rebedding loosened rails/stanchions? I have this vague notion of epoxy, wood flour, and nice new screws, but am interested in thoughts. I am also going to add a few hand-holds, so interested to get a better idea of allowable screw lengths. Thanks, Jim *I wouldn't touch Facebook with a 10-foot insulated pole with rubber boots on. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "UnifliteWorld" group.
