Ahoy Kerry:

In 2005 I replaced all the side windows (galley, saloon including
sliding door, aft cabin including rear windows) on my 42 DCMY with
custom made ones from Diamond Seaglaze in BC. Padden Creek Marine
(now defunct) added $13,000 to a rather large remodeling job for the
windows and installation. The rear saloon side windows were made
oversize (like the latest model 42's). I love the windows, they work
well and look good. They told me at the time that they couldn't make
the galley windows so they would open so they are fixed panes.
Remember to tell anyone making windows for you that the two small
galley windows are on a curve and the frames won't seat correctly if
they are made flat, this was the only issue I've had with them. Let
me know if you want pictures.
