Hi George! Uniflites and Tollycraft are fine crafts, each with great build-out integrety. I believe they both were constructed in the upper North West (Tolly was I know). There are plenty of each type boat here in the Nor West. I've owned both brands in SF Bay; enjoyed each. When I was boating out of Freeport and Merrick LI in the 50's and 60's these two makes began to become popular due to their great designs and superior build-qualities. I remember them well in their first years of presentation at MSG NY, NY boat shows However, I guess, they never became too plentiful in New England states due to shiping costs, limited numbers of sales locations... etc. I've heard of Uni owners with same sliders as you mention going to good door manufacturers and having entirely new sliders fabricated to suite.
