Hi George! Uniflites and Tollycraft are fine crafts, each with great
build-out integrety. I believe they both were constructed in the upper
North West (Tolly was I know). There are plenty of each type boat here in
the Nor West. I've owned both brands in SF Bay; enjoyed each. When I was
boating out of Freeport and Merrick LI in the 50's and 60's these two makes
began to become popular due to their great designs and superior
build-qualities. I remember them well in their first years of presentation
at MSG NY, NY boat shows However, I guess, they never became too plentiful
in New England states due to shiping costs, limited numbers of sales
locations... etc. I've heard of Uni owners with same sliders as you mention
going to good door manufacturers and having entirely new sliders fabricated
to suite. The reports I recall were good! Best Luck - Art

Subject: [UnifliteWorld] Sliding glass doors

On my 32 uniflite ss I have sliding glass doors on the back, and was able to
get the lock smith to make a key but would like to know if anyone found
replacement parts anywhere. They were made in the north west, company does
not exist anymore, from my research. I am on long island and the boat was
made on east coast , I also have yet to see a uniflite with the sliders
here, Not sure where the majority of these fine vessels reside. Not too many
here.
