Hello Bernie, I don't see you getting much help. I find it hard to believe you and the others have starting using 8D batteries. If they are flooded batteries or AGMs there should be no problem. My '42 has two DD 8.2L engines (that's 500 cubic inches each) and came with the original configuration of one wet 8D per engine (they also made up the house bank). I have reconfigured my system and now each engine has its own group 31 AGM. It works so good that I have thought about going to one 31 AGM to start both engines, in my next configuration.
