I am interested in this subject. I had never heard about the stringers in my
'84, but when I drill into them they seem empty! I always caulk the holes.

Subject: [UnifliteWorld] Foam stringers
I was unaware until I read an old magazine ad for uniflite that there stringers
were formed out of foam so as not to rot. While my 32' seems almost as well
built as she did in 78 I did have to do a sizable repair. To her bow and was
wondering if the stringers are truly one aspect I need not worry about, or
something to watch. Curious what you other owners out there have found with
your stringers???
