I may be zeroing in on the culprit. In an attempt to check all wiring connections, I discovered that the servo pickup cable goes directly to the Synchronizer. The aforementioned green wire that I suspect is the signal wire also goes directly to the Synchronizer. This is true, obviously, of both port and starboard engines. Since both tachs failed simultaneously, I would suspect the problem is somewhere where the tachs have commonality. Besides power, which I've pretty much proven to be available, the only other common interconnection is the Synchronizer. Is this a possibility?
