Hi,
Two questions.
First, are there any plans to submit unionfs for inclusion in the kernel git
tree? Knoppix uses unionfs, there's talk of using unionfs in GoboLinux... it
is the most popular extra-kernel module that I'm aware of. And, like a lot
of people, I suspect, we are dependant on unionfs for our cluster of
network-booted nodes. I'm curious as to whether it has been submitted, or if
submission has been discussed.
The second question relates to the first: is there any way to search the
mailing list archives aside from having to use the web interface and manually
troll for answers?
Thanks.

Hello Sean,
To answer your first question we are planing on submitting UnionFS
to the Linux kernel for inclusion and some of our team members have
chatted with people who work on the kernel about it. We still have a lot
of work before we can split UnionFS into patches and send it to the
fs-devel list for comments but it is definitely in the works.
To answer your second question there is an option on the archives
page to download the entire thing as a gziped text archive. You can find
it at http://www.fsl.cs.sunysb.edu/pipermail/unionfs/ and you can
download them by choosing the right most column in the table for each month.
