Why do people use 1.0.4 instead of 1.0.14 ?
(this is a real question, is there anything I missed? I thought 1.0.14 is better, with fewer bugs.)

Hmm...which version of unionfs are you using?

1.0.4 of unionfs and 2.4.32 of Linux kernel.
