UNIONFS_IMAP            Compiles in persistent inode code.  Mounting will
                        fail if you try to use the imap option without this
                        compile option.  The imap option is important if you
                        export your unionfs mount via NFS, because NFS
                        (v2/v3 at least) expects inode numbers to be
                        persistent, whereas Unionfs by default uses dynamic
                        inode numbers which may change silently.  Without
                        this imap option, NFS clients may see many "stale
                        file handle" errors, among others.


And when you use imap option, you cannot add/del branches to your union.
