Robert, I'm a little confused by your comment; indicator-session does
still use user images...?

However, I'm also unable to repeat the behavior Owais is reporting, and
indicator-session has undergone extensive refactoring since this bug was
reported, so I agree with the "Fix Released" status. :)

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce.

  1) Open user accounts and change the display image of the current user.
  2) Click the me-menu and observe that the photo has not changed.
  3) Now logout or restart unity (reload the indicators)
  4) Now the change is reflected.

  
  MeMenu should reflect changes to user's photo immediately.
