Title: turn off the notifications in accordance to the messaging menu status Status in Ayatana Design: New Status in The Messaging Menu: Incomplete Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The messaging menu status (online/away/busy/offline) should not be restricted to instant messaging. Switching it to "busy" should turn off the new mail notifications, especially the popup and the sound.
