Replying to a message does not work

Bug description:
Receive a text message
Pull down the messages menu from the indicator
touch the message, enter text, press send
What should happen:
it sends the message
What happens:
the message box collapses without sending the message
Oddly, open the message again, touch the text box and the text you previously
entered appears.
Open the message, do not touch the text box and just press send, the text
previously entered is sent and the message is removed from the menu
