Note as discussed by email I dropped some menu items as in my opinion they add complexity but not functionality. You can install the indicator from the desktop PPA [2] - package is "indicator-bluetooth". Restart indicators by running "killall unity- panel-service". You can comment here or open bugs and I'll fix them.
