I agree, in many ways, Fresh Grocer has been a disappointment and Thriftway better.  -Ricky

The reason I continue to shop at Thriftway is because they actually have
things like whole wheat bread, soy milk, tofu, organic bulk food, etc.
Unfortunately, freshness is a huge and frustrating problem. FreshGrocer has
no health food to speak of that I have found. It also drives me crazy to
shop at a place knowing I'm subsidizing the parking lot - even though I
don't own a car.

Has anyone contacted Thriftway to find out what their plans are?

Tanya

The closing of Thriftway would not be a bad thing, IMHO. It's simply the
most disgusting food store I ever had the misfortune to shop in (twice). If
you don't have a car, fresh grocer is what 2 blocks down Walnut?

People should not have to shop in such a depressing and demoralizing excuse
for a store as Thriftway. Anyways, I'm sure the Mayor's Blight Campaign
would have zeroed in on it.
