I have been meaning for a month to get out of my car and see if the blooms
smell or not - but I still haven't done it - in case you want to see what
the blooms look like - the tree at 42nd and Spruce (South-East corner,
front yard) is still in bloom. This tree is extinct in the wild - and is
hard to propogate - so somewhat of a rarity.

PS- it has been over 10 days since it rained - so watering is once again
required to keep any trees less than a year old alive (one inch or 15
gallons each a week). I regret to report that the 3 holly bushes on the
island garden at 41st and Chester seemed to have died - due to the drought.
They were 5 years old - but the island is unusually dry.
