I had to take a package to FEDEX at 4:30 on Saturday - there is a new
facility on Grays Ferry right across the University Ave. Bridge that was
open - and overall it employs 150 people. Not a bad building - for a big
shed - from the back you can see right down to the river and to the old
bridge the pivots on a central stone pillar - does anybody know if that was
the proposed route of the bike path? I guess not since it seems to be
rusted stuck in the open position - but also a neat piece of engineering.

On the way back across the bridge I saw that some very clever entreprenuer
has the plan to turn the former dump at the side of the bridge into a
MARINA - what a great idea - says they plan on opening in the spring of
2004 -

On 38th street there are about 50 new trees - WOW!!

then today it snowed...
