The connection is clear to me. It's the erosion of rights granted to us by the Constitution. Recall Franklin's statement about those who would willingly give up essential liberty for a little security deserve neither liberty nor security.

If the connection is clear to you, then be so kind as to explain it carefully. Broadside appeal to erosion of rights granted by the Constitution, and stretching Ben Franklin's statement to cover the historic district hardly make the point clear.
