I've checked all my maps and literature, and haven't found a geographical area in West Philadelphia called the University City District. That seems only to be the name of an organzation. There is an area called University City. I wonder if it is in any way emblematic of the knowledge of the neighborhood, or the attitude toward the neighborhood, of the Executive Director of the organization, that he would call the geographical area not by its actual name (UC), but by the name of his organization (UCD)? But perhaps in the future he will disinguish between the two, so people will know what he is talking about.
