The children from SFDS will be walking through UC, TUESDAY MORNING,
10/15/2002, to raise funds for their school.
I am posting the routes and approximate starting times, so that you have
the choice to see the kids or avoid driving through the crowds. SFDS
welcomes donations at any time, but now is a good time to make the
donation via a neighborhood child. Kids who raise the most money earn
points toward individual prizes and help their classrooms win "Pizza"
parties. So, if one of your neighbors is a kid at SFDS considering
giving a check (payable to "SFDS" with remarks of " Walk-a-thon") to
present to a teacher. Please note: My son, Michael Motyka, age 11, would
be happy to carry your check into school! Note: Even limited dollars
are put to maximum use.

But they must be mailed in the next week, if a specific child is to
receive credit for the thought.
De Sales is a faith based school, with excellent academic standards. It
has a reputation for cultivating successful people. The school does
brilliant work with a fabulous and diverse collection of families. While
it is a "Catholic" school, Catholics are the minority and even
non-christians are common at De Sales. Costs to families are kept
amazingly low and the budget is tight. Donations help provide special
events, art and music programs and scholarship assistance.
