Hi all I bought yesterday (Monday 10/14) a 5 gallon glass fish tank - comes with Elite 799 air pump (one outlet), pkg. of 2 plastic tees - opened but not used, 1 4" Aqua Mist air stone - opened but not used (couldn't figure out how!), regular box filter that uses fiber/charcoal, unopened bag Filtr Fiber, 8" 50W CSA certified aquarium heater, Penn Plax tank divider (already cut to size!), Metalex "creature cover" 1-piece steel screen for lid.
I tried using it with the divider for my 2 male Bettas. Didn't work at all. One of them, Hisaki is way too clever for his own good - somehow got past the divider and I almost had a stroke when I saw them in the same space trying to kill each other! The whole set up thing is just too much for me too. I bought this at a local pet store and since I used the tank/filter for a few hours, they won't take it back. So, a great deal for one of you! Fish tank, lizard, iguana, snake, turtle, etc. Lots of uses for this great tank that has been cleaned in ultra hot water (no soap). For fish, all you need do is change the fiber, get some spring water, gravel and fish! Would also be a really good size if you're breeding and need a space for fry - divider would help with that too. Could be fun if you're a teacher to have a class "pet"????? I'm asking $60.00 for the whole shebang, which is much less than I paid, but I know things depreciate as soon as you walk out the door!
