Neighbor, J. Andre Kochs, aces the role of "Zingarello the Puppeteer" in
the Perna Production of PINOCCHIO.
This one hour show is the ideal length and tone to captivate younger
children while being considerate of the joints and schedules of their
care givers. The leads include a 10-year old dancer as Pinocchio, and a
fine mix of child and adult singers and actors. This production is a
splendid frolic, peppered with bits from Ballet to Vaudeville, in a
light, morality fantasy. It is engaging at several levels and for all
ages.
Performances are at HARCUM COLLEGE, 750 Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr.
There is free parking. For car-free families, the Bryn Mawr stop of the
R-5 train (boarded at 30th Street or Suburban Station) is one block from
the Harcum Theater. (Links to info end message.)
The show runs until January 12 and tickets are $12.00 for Adults and
$8.00 for Children.
The profits benefit two charities and are split between the Harcum
Scholarship Fund and children with HIV-AIDS.

Friday 1/10/2003 - 12 Noon
Saturday 1/11/2003 - 2:30 PM & 7 PM
Sunday 1/12/2002 - 2:30 PM
Andre gives a stupendous performance as the only human villain. He
capitalize on the great height contrast between himself and the star. He
swirls his cape with panache and inserts some festive soft shoe into his
singing solo. The animal Villains (Cat and Fox) are also wonderful
counterparts to the sweet girl who plays Pinocchio.
See the show and support our neighbor and two worthy causes.
Start the new year with exposure to the art of theater.
Join in the fun of remembering a childhood favorite.

Even if you can't make time to see the play, please remember to
congratulate Andre, and any other friends or neighbors who are enjoying
success in the arts. Many Artists make huge financial sacrifices in the
pursuit of their muses. Often the fruits of their labors contribute to
the greater good of the rest of us. And sometimes they offer us
spectators a chance to transcend the mundane.
Viva Art!
All the best in 2003!
