Hi,
Everyone is invited to the Friends of Clark Park annual Charles Dickens' Birthday
Party this Sunday, February 2 at 2 pm in Griffith Hall, USP, at 43rd & Kingsessing.
There will be readings from "A Tale of Two Cities" and "Great Expectations" this year
and musical entertainment by a Victorian Brass Ensemble. After refreshments, the
troupe and the whole audience go to the Dickens statue where children climb up on
Dickens' knee to place flowery wreathes on the heads of Dickens and Little Nell while
singing "Happy Birthday" to them.
We hope to see you there. It will be a good chance for you join the Friends of
Clark Park as well.

Ms. Kaplan,
The Dickens birthday celebration has music, readings, and other
presentations concerning the life and works of Charles Dickens. It is
open to the public so anyone can attend. This year I believe there will
be live music although I don't know the particulars.
I've copied this email to Fran Byers, who can provide more information
if you have other questions as she has been involved with Dickens
birthday for a long time.
Thanks for your interest and I hope to see you there.
