The Historic Commission MUST consist of:
1. President of City Council (or designee)
2. Commissioner of Public Property
3. Commissioner of L & I
4. Chairman of City Planning (or designee)
5. Director of Housing (or designee)
6-12 - People interested in Preservation to include
6. An Architect with HP experience
7. An Historian
8. An Architectural Historian
9. A Real Estate Developer
10. A rep for a CDC
11. A rep for a Community Organization
12. any Mayoral Appointee
13. any Mayoral Appointee
Can't you just imagine the fun and challenge of getting a timely or
consistent or consumer friendly ruling from a collection like this?
It makes sense for individual sites / buildings of significance (and huge
budgets) but not when considering the millions of mullions on the windows
of the thousands of twin buildings in the proposed HD.
