I've been saving the bits of sarcasm (attached below) for a day like
today....

At least one of these Pro-HD guys could help support the City Budget by
paying "Sales Tax" on the Historic Artifacts he is selling off. First it
was the $500 mirror, now it is the $500 mantle. This would only produce
an extra $70.00, but multiplied by all the artifacts (doorknobs, buzzers,
moldings, etc) stolen from properties (including many in UC) to create
these "Flea Market" finds it might support some Historic Education. And
of course G.O. should buy his $200 "Business Privilege License" which is
another boost to the City Budget.

Doesn't it seem more fair to pay for the expansion of the HD via sales
taxes on those who are part of the loot and resell market than on fines
to people whose 'improvements' were made subject to complaint by
neighbor?

And doesn't it seem interesting that people who are probably bending
rules (like tax, or dealing in goods with limited provenance) for
themselves are all for the imposition of regulations which limit the
aesthetic choices of their neighbors?
