Dear West Philadelphians - I'm forwarding this for anyone's interest. It came from Chris Knapp of Clean Water/ Clean Air, the organization that sponsored a petition drive last fall and which is closely monitoring City Council budget hearings and their (possibly disastrous) effect on recycling.
Last fall about 100 people signed a petition at the Firehouse Market recycling site - those petitions went to City Council through Clean Water/Clean Air. If you'd like to write a personal letter as well, Ms. Knapp gives a sample letter and addresses below.
