Partnership CDC and the 45th & Sansom Coalition (relax, I have no inside involvement with either) are holding a community meeting tonight to discuss their plans for the 45th & Sansom area. It's at West Catholic -- 45th & Chestnut -- from 7:00 to 9:00. This neighborhood has been the subject of rumor and speculation (ranging from the whole shebang being razed under NIT to Penn buying it all and converting it into a gentrified enclave), so it's a good chance to find out what's really in the works and who's doing what, and to indicate what the stakeholders in the community think about it.

It may also afford an opportunity to express our views on the city's announced cut-off of funding for the Salvation Army's Faith project, which provides neighborhood housing for transitional families in the 4400 block of Walnut Street. Whether there's any connection between the two things, other than proximity, is unknown but possibly worth exploring.
