Megan Bridge announces her debut evening-length performance, Whither the
Storm, a collection of dances. Performances will take place at the
Community Education Center (3500 Lancaster Ave.) on May 31st and June 1st, 2003 at
8pm. Bridge is a member of Group Motion Dance Company.

A variety of old and new works will be performed, many in collaboration
with composer/video artist Peter Price. The shows title work, Whither the
Storm, is a new group piece performed by an all-male cast of some of Phillys most
sought-after dancers, including fellow Group Motion member David Konyk,
Peter DOrsaneo (MOXIE Dance Collective) and Lorin Lyle. Bridge will
perform two critically acclaimed solos, Situation (2000) and Palate (2002). Kiss
Off, a new trio performed by Lyle along with Alison Ferris and Group
Motions Lesya Popil, is a hilarious account of the dangers of life in a
clique, with live music composed and performed by Price and violin virtuoso
Gloria Justen of the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra. Price and Justen will
also perform their compelling and ground-breaking electro-acoustic duet
Application Space on the violin and lap-top computer, which premiered at
the Philadelphia Fringe Festival 2002.

Also included on the program will be Slide Rule (2001), a duet
choreographed and performed by Bridge in collaboration with Alison Ferris, and Teletime
(2000) a solo choreographed by Bridge and performed by Lesya Popil. Bridge
will be joined by Group Motion member Katie McNamara as they perform their
fantastical, historical, hysterical duet, Kevin and Victor Charming, which
premiered last month (April, 2003) at the Kumquat Festival, Painted Bride
Arts Center.

Megan Bridge is currently based in Philadelphia, where she is a member of
Group Motion Dance Company (under the direction of Manfred Fischbeck).
Bridge has performed her work at many Philadelphia area venues including
the Painted Bride, the Arts Bank, the Kimmel Center, and the Philadelphia Museum of
Art. Earlier this season Bridge made her New York debut at the Joyce SoHo in the
DanceNow Festival and has also performed her work abroad in Dresden,
Germany in Tanzwoche at the Projekt Theatre. Megans performance credits include
Beautiful Human Lies, an original work created for her by legendary hip-hop
choreographer Rennie Harris. Bridge, a "compelling presence" (Philadelphia
Inquirer) has also worked with many Philadelphia companies and
choreographers including Nichole Canuso (MOXIE Dance Collective),
SCRAP/Myra Bazell, The Bald Mermaids, and Convergence Dancers and Musicians. She has
created several works in collaboration with contemporary composer Peter
Price, and was lauded by Dance Magazine as a critics pick for 2001.
