so, where does one get bagels at 7:20 on a Thursday morning in University City? turns out not Thriftway, which doesn't bake them until closer to 8:00. The answer is one that was on no one's list, and we didn't even know was there until we happened to drive by it this a.m. "The Nosh Delicatessen and Bakery", 3600 Market Street (SW corner). Same $7.20 approximately/dozen as some of the other places, but people liked them, they're baked right there, and they were still warm when I got them to work. thanks to everyone for all of the other tips.
